Countdown Gadget	Longs Drugs Challenge "Countdown" Gadget What is a Sidebar Gadget? Windows Vista's Sidebar contains mini-applications or Gadgets which may be used to display information such as the system time and Internet-powered features such as RSS feeds or our Countdown Clock. Gadgets can also be placed elsewhere on the screen, rather than on the Sidebar. Sidebar/Gadget is similar to Apple's Dashboard/Widget. How our Gadget works? Once installed our gadget's countdown clock continuously updates you to when our tournament begins (October. 9, 2008, 7am). It will also allows you to read our RSS and has a quick link to our homepage. When you click on the RSS button, a fly out will show you current news stories from our RSS feed. How do I get the program? System Requirements: Windows Vista - Download the program from the Windows Live website by clicking here. If you like the gadget please add a favorable rating to the site. Click on the link above to download and save the gadget to your computer. (Remember where you saved it. We recommend saving it to your desktop. Make sure the file name is LongsDrugsChallenge.gadget) 2. Go to the downloaded program and double-click on it. This will install the gadget onto your computer. That should also add it to your sidebar but continue to step 3 if it did not. 3. Right-click the Windows Sidebar icon on the taskbar. If you do not see this icon, click the "Show Hidden Icons" arrow, then right-click the Windows Sidebar icon. 4. Choose "Add Gadgets". 5. A Gadget Gallery will appear similar where you can choose from a variety of gadgets. Double-click on the Longs Drugs Challenge gadget to add it to the sidebar. What can I modify in the Gadget? By clicking on the toolbox you can modify the countdown date and time and which RSS you link to. If you would like the fly out to show you our Volunteer Info instead of Tournament Info, change the RSS Link from ldc_rssfeed.xml to vol_rssfeed.xml
